Mr. Donovan shares the responsibility of managing Robeco Investment Management with Co-CEO Jay Feeney and he is also the lead portfolio manager for the Robeco Boston Partners Large Cap Value portfolios. Mr. Donovan was one of the founding partners of Boston Partners Asset Management when it was launched in 1995. He joined from The Boston Company, where he was hired as a research analyst in 1988 and then, starting in 1991, began managing large cap value equity portfolios.
Prior to that, he had spent five years as an associate at a small consulting firm in Washington working with savings and loan institutions to determine initial public offering prices. He started in the investment business 30 years ago working as a securities analyst at Value Line. Mr. Donovan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.S. in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He serves as a Trustee and a member of the Investment Committee for St. Sebastian's School in Needham, MA.
Mr. Feeney is responsible for the firm's strategic, financial and operating decisions along with Mark Donovan. He directs all aspects of investment management including the firm's fundamental and quantitative research groups. He was one of the original partners of Boston Partners Asset Management in 1995. Prior to assuming these roles, he was Director of Research. He joined Boston Partners upon its inception in 1995 from Putnam Investments, where he managed mortgage-backed securities portfolios.
Mr. Feeney began his career working as a loan officer at the Bank of Boston where he specialized in highly leveraged loan portfolios. He holds a B.S. degree in finance (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. with High Honors from the University of Chicago. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is past President of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston. He has twenty-seven years of investment experience.
Mr. Healey joined Robeco Investment Management in July 2009. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant at SEI and then took on a series of progressively more senior positions in client service and marketing at The Boston Company Asset Management. In 1997 he joined Franklin Portfolio Associates, where he was named President in 2008. Mr. Healey has a B.S. in Business Management from St. Peter's College. He has over thirty years of industry experience, with a focus on building and directing institutional business development programs.
Mr. Butterly has direct responsibility for all functions excluding investments and sales. Mr. Butterly joined Robeco in 2005 as General Counsel, with responsibility for legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining Robeco, he was the Chief Compliance Officer at General Motors Asset Management. He also held positions at Lazard Asset Management, where he was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer; Deutsche Asset Management, where he was General Counsel for the Americas Institutional Group ; and, at the start of his legal career, at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling in New York. Mr. Butterly holds a B.A. degree from Connecticut College (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Stone Scholar. He has twenty-six years of industry experience.
Mr. Davis is responsible for finance, risk management, office services and payroll. Before becoming CFO in 2008, Mr. Davis was the firm's Controller. Previously, Mr. Davis worked at Lazard Freres & Co. LLC from 1997 to 2005, where he held the position of Director and Controller from 2002-2005. He began his career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now known as Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Davis received his BBA in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University, became a Certified Public Accountant in 1990 and holds both Series 27 and Series 99 Licenses. He has been in the financial services industry for over twenty-four years.
